The first Widolf diving mask was created in 1946.
Through the years various models have been produced to satisfy the ever
increasing demand for better diving equipment.
The current series is the
most advanced representative of this famous family of masks.
Although they
are the most advanced masks available today, they remain practical and
simple.
Widolf masks provide maximum performance for any diving situation,
from Hi Tech.,Rebreather, Commercial or Search and Rescue diving, with
or without communications.
The Widolf masks offer three basic
models:
Demand, Freeflow, and Closed Circuit
(Recirculating)
DF-500 Demand/ free flow:
Ideal for scuba ,surface supplied or search and rescue
F-400 Free flow: Supplies a great volume of air to the
diver without requiring inhalation effort to secure air
RF-600 Closed Circuit / Shutoff: can be used with
closed circuit rebreather diving systems, or two hose regulator
DR-600 Closed Circuit/ Demand: can be switched by the
diver from closed circuit/recirculation to open circuit demand mode
Widolf Masks are designed to function with any type of communications, hard wire, thru water, or specialized communications, all types are easily integrated into the mask .All Masks are available with complete hardware or thru water communications.
The Widolf recirculating masks are designed for use with closed circuit, semi-closed circuit breathing systems, or standard 2 hose regulators.
The flow direction can be changed to either direction. The standard
direction of gas flow is from the diver's right to the diver's left.
This accessory helps protects the diver's head from injury.
The head protector can be used with any Widolf diving mask and can be
easily attached and detached by an unassisted diver.
It is held in
place by locks at the top of the faceplate frame and neoprene headband straps
which button onto posts at the rear of the hat.
The unit is solid and
non-encumbering, and easily adjusts to fit any size head.
With or Without Communications
Full face coverage has many advantages over the conventional scuba
equipment for the diver who wants the ultimate in diving safety and comfort.
Comfort is a big factor ,water leakage around the mouthpiece is eliminated, a
problem which is not just a matter of comfort in contaminated water. And
finally, a full face mask stays on the diver's face and continues to function,
even if the diver is unconscious. The is no loose mouthpiece to slip from the
diver's bite. Demand free flow masks have all the advantages of both types of
breathing methods in a single mask. They function equally well with
self-contained bottles or with hose-supplied air or gas. The diver can breathe
solely on demand, or by progressively opening the free flow valve can breathe
in different combinations of demand and free flow until the free flow
overpowers the demand action. A control knob allows the diver to adjust the
demand mechanism to a wide range of hose pressures to insure easy breathing.
Free flow masks provide a steady flow of air to the diver, the volume of
which can be controlled by turning a knob. For diving in shallow to medium
depths where compressor capacity is not a problem, free flow masks have many
advantages. They are simple to use and maintain, there being little adjustment
and mechanism. They have a lower initial cost than demand masks. And they can
supply a great volume of air to the diver without requiring an inhalation
effort to secure this air as on a demand system. This is a great advantage
when performing heavy labor underwater. All free flow masks have a large
muffler which reduces noise from incoming air to a minimum while dispersing
the air throughout the mask so as not to irritate the diver's eyes. Every free
flow mask also has provisions for the hookup of an emergency air supply.
For use with surface supplied air or as a distribution block for multiple gas supplies. A combination air manifold block that attaches to the diver's harness either by clamping directly or with a snap shackle. This accessory eliminates the need to connect a heavy and cumbersome umbilical directly to the full-face mask. The umbilical connects to the shackle block thru a check valve, then from the shackle block to the air inlet on a full-face mask. Other accessories can be taken off the block such as suit or B.C.. inflators, or various other devices.
